USTA Jr. Team Tennis is the largest youth tennis program in the country, helping girls and boys get on the court, and have a good time. It has been developed to give children the opportunity to play tennis as a team sport just the way they are able to play soccer, basketball, and baseball.
USTA Junior Team Tennis is a 8-10 week program of team practice and match play for boys and girls ages 5-12 who want to play on a team focusing on fun, fitness, and the social benefits of tennis.
The program is broken down into three age divisions: 8 and under, 10 and under, and 12 and under. The 8 and 10 year-old divisions use the QuickStart Tennis Format which brings kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring. For the 12 year-old divisions, players learn to play on a regular sized court.
There is a spot for every kid wether they have ever held anracquet. Matches will be held at the Brooking Park Tennis Courts and Georgetown College Tennis Courts.
The cost of the program is $76.48. Registration fee includes Nike Dri-Fit Team T-shirt, USTA membership, balls, equipment, court time, and tournament opportunities.
